Registration will be at Pendle Heritage Centre Barn, Barrowford, BB9 6JQ from 7am.
Parking is available nearby or on the local roads.  Please park courteously and allow plenty of time to arrive. Please ensure your vehicle is not causing any obstruction where you park, for the runners on course or local residents.

You will be given a bib number at registration which must be displayed at all times and recorded by the marshal at each checkpoint.

All entrants must finish by 6pm (within 10hrs).

Any entrant arriving at a checkpoint after the closing time will be asked to retire from the race. If you intend to retire from the event, this can be done at any checkpoint or the finish location; please tell the marshal you wish to do so and hand your tally. This ensures all runners are accounted for and avoids unnecessarily raising calls for emergency support from rescue services.

This is a Winter Ultra Event - All entrants are advised to wear appropriate clothing for winter conditions and required to carry full body waterproof cover, map (see below), headtorch, compass, whistle, mug and fully-charged mobile phone. Appropriate footwear (fell/trail) MUST be worn.
A map of route OS 1:25k will be provided but OL21 is also recommended.
Any entrant considered to be under prepared will, at the event organisers discretion, not be allowed to start and will be withdrawn from the event without refund. All entrants enter at their own risk.

As this is the first running of the event, your opinion and feedback would be very welcome to improve for future. We'll send a brief questionnaire afterwards and any comments will be taken on board.

Each checkpoint will carry water, biscuits and first aid kit. Please ask a marshal if you require assistance. Please ensure you are self sufficient by carrying appropriate clothing and food/drink dependant on the weather.

Please note that this is a tough event with some navigational ability required and a considerable amount of climbing, therefore not suitable for beginners. Currently, dogs are not allowed on this event.  Entrants must be at least 18 years of age on the day.

There are road crossings  - please treat with great care and pay attention to the highway warning signs on the approach to these crossings.

Please obey the Countryside Code. Ensure that all gates are left in the state they were in when you arrived. Please respect the landowners and their property. Recceing of the course is recommended but please follow the footpaths and do not cut over private land.

Avoid dropping ANY litter on course please - bin bags will be provided at checkpoints. No smoking on course.

The route may be subject to some minor changes.

This race is permitted under Trail Running Association Permit 2437_2437 - The Pendle Way Winter Ultra - Shortened
